About · Panama

Built from a real business, not a pitch deck.

Tadpole was born from the needs of a real Panamanian business — and every accounting module is validated line by line with a practicing accountant.

The story

Who is behind Tadpole?

I'm Ivan Marín, born and based in Panama City. Fifteen years working for multiple companies across multiple industries, wearing multiple hats — tech support, operations, sales, consulting. At every company I joined as an analyst, I ended up wiring together six pieces of software that didn't talk to each other.

Tadpole wasn't born because I wanted a CRM. It was born because the people I worked with kept asking for it: "you understand this better than anyone — why don't you build one yourself?". I looked first. The only tools that did everything charged tens of thousands a year because they carried the "for big companies" badge. Why should a business in Panama billing $5K, $10K, $20K a month pay the same as a multinational? It made no sense. And that's how this started.

How it gets built

With an accountant at the table

Tadpole's accounting — double entry, a general ledger per account, two-step closes, receivables and payables — is designed and reviewed with a practicing accountant. If an entry doesn't balance for her, it doesn't ship. And priorities come from the feedback of the businesses testing it with us, not an internal feature list.

Customer feedback leads

What the businesses already using Tadpole ask for is the raw material. Founders set the order.

Transparency, always

About the roadmap, the pricing, and what we can't do yet. If something changes, we say it early.

For real SMBs

No features built to inflate corporate contracts. We build for the ones growing from the ground up.

Mission

Growing shouldn't cost you more

Businesses should be able to grow without handing an ever-bigger slice of their profits to a tool that charges for a label, not for value. That's why Tadpole never charges per user — and the more modules you use, the less you pay for each one.
